The origin of the Nike Dunk dates back to the early 80s, when high school basketball became more and more popular and attracted the public. Nike got the idea to design Dunk when a sales representative came to watch the 1985 NCAA quarterfinals. At that time Nike was the main sponsor for all 4 teams. Nike then wanted to design a shoe with vibrant colors that would not only match the players’ uniforms, but also match the fans. Since then, Nike Dunk has had a long journey and now this sneaker has become a “must-have item” on the street, used for skateboarding, collectibles, associated with popular culture. Today, let’s explore with Storepc about the outstanding Nike Dunk Low releases announced in the past week.
Nike Dunk Low “Light Smoke Gray”
The upcoming version will feature an upper made of white leather and accented with overlays and surrounding lining. Additional details will include a black Nike Swooshes logo and shoelaces, along with a white nylon tongue. In addition, the brand’s signature appears on the tongue label, embroidered “NIKE” on the back of the heel and lining. Elevating the shoes is a white-tone midsole combined with a contrasting gray rubber outsole. Priced at $100 USD, the Women’s Exclusive “Light Smoke Gray” Nike Dunk Low is now slated to be released
Nike Dunk Low “USA”
Made with a white upper, the shoes are also dressed in vibrant royal blue and red tones. The Nike Swoosh logo, midsole logo and heel tab of this shoe will be highlighted in red while the white midsole completes the look of this classic. The Nike Dunk Low “USA” is expected to launch in the coming weeks before summer and is expected to retail for $100 USD.
Nike Dunk Low “Reverse Panda”
The overall design of this upcoming version is very simple because it is based on two neutral tones. In the upper part, white tones will cover the toe box, shoe collar as well as the inner lining and tongue. To create a subtle yet effective contrast, Nike’s design team applied black tones across the Nike Swooshes logo, shoelaces and on the brand logo on the tongue and heel. Finally, the midsole and outsole will be finished in angelic tones. If you’re thinking of adding this versatile Dunks to your shoe closet, be aware that it’ll be releasing in the coming months through Nike and other stores for $100 USD.
Nike Dunk Low in shades of green
With the weather starting to warm up and the Easter holidays approaching, brighter colors will soon start to become more popular and this version fits perfectly with the changing seasons of the year. Kermit-esque green is used to cover the perforated toe box, cheekbones, tongue and collar, while other coatings will be covered in a slightly darker tone. To create even more contrast, a bit of white will appear on the shoelaces, the Nike Swooshes logo and the midsoles. Nike will likely release this version in the coming months for $100 USD, but a launch date has yet to be announced.
