Nike’s upcoming “Flora Pack” experimented heavily with canvas and textiles, with embellishments being the main theme. The Pomegranate and Indigo Blazers and Air Force 1s are both adorned with beautiful stitching and bottle soles. Now it’s time for the brand’s flagship trainer line to join the collection, with the Nike Air Max 90 “Cork” being the latest addition.

As the title suggests, the presence of cork in the midfoot Swoosh is to be expected, but it’s the embroidered detail on the tongue that, for me, at least, attracts the most attention. It threaded cork oaks according to a similar notation to previous versions. With this, Swooshes and speckled metal base units, it’s easy to overlook the pair’s beautifully constructed cream fabric upper complemented by contrast stitching, a white mid-section and navy blue lining.
