What makes the Nike Air Max Uptempo 95 “Blue Fury” so special?

When it was first released in 1995, Nike advertised the Air Max Uptempo 95 as “the best Air cushioning we’ve ever put in the sole”. This sleek and eye-catching style has made the Uptempo 95 hugely popular both on and off the basketball court. Now, it’s set to return to the market in a summer-ready “Blue Fury” colorway. A classic white leather upper provides the sole, while light blue patent leather overlays and leather Swoosh accents surrounded by white embroidery add some premium flair. There are a lot of interesting little details here, with blue used for the “AIR” branding on the lace overlay, and the small gold swoosh peeking out from under the elastic straps of the tongue. Below, a white midsole with a Swoosh gold heel wraps the Air Max midsoles in gold, and the shoe is completed by a blue outsole.
